What are the learning & ‘safe guards” to us

The resent news on, Ugandan 'Aids scam' trial begins,

for Health Minister Jim Muhwezi, accused of embezzling nearly $4.3m (£2.15m), is ‘alarm’ for us to see, how aid/ funds are spend at amritsar.

Awaaz foundation addresses the challenges from citizen’s perspective, to accelerate response to TB emergency at grassroots.

What we do?

Awaaz partnership with STOP TB (http://www.stoptb.org/ ) to advocacy, capacity building for National TB program.

Activates
<>Increasing awareness level in stakeholders for policy monitoring at grass root
<>Supports Community based monitoring & evaluation, playing important role in collecting evidences for non-complains to National TB programs (RNTCP). This is important exercise to ensure TB treatment /program comes to delivery as prescribed & fix responsibilities of delivering agencies.
<>Capacity building in order to increase/ maintaining high cure rates within the DOTS Strategy.
<>Awaaz is especially for people who would not otherwise receive modern TB treatment (people with limited access to health services).
<>We run a program to develop community volunteers focused to patients, Valuing patients who haven’t availed full course of TB in past, Identification of causes that could restart there treatment course & accommodate to adherent on full course.

Advocacies:
Advocating for necessary steps to place National TB Programs in core to get “community centered” activity for ending poverty.

Who can participate?

Every one have major role in program, not necessary you have to be medical or related sciences knowledge.
Anyone can partly; full timely, or freelance can contribute.
Do you get financial support for your work?
Yes, one can avail honorarium & fixed grants available under the National Programs. (R.N.T.C.P.) & other schemes.

AWAAZ don’t pay or support your expenditure as such “Directly”.
